Prof Dr Nitin Junnarkar

Dr. Prof. Nitin has been into professional teaching for more than two and half decades. He is working as a Senior Associate Professor in one of the best institutions under Central Maritime University. He has a passion for Academic Counseling, Career Counseling and Professional Counseling. Throughout his career, he has counseled over a thousand students in context to their personal and professional issues. He believes that every person is inherently of good nature, but sometimes the situation may not let them be their true self. Hence, for the past 7 years, his active focus is towards the betterment of school going, and college going students. Being a professor, he has seen the problems students go through because of not selecting the right educational and career path. His aim is to guide the young generation towards a better and successful future. He has studied PGDPC-Post Graduate Diploma in Psychological Counseling, IBMS, Chittoor. He has completed BE from Pune University, an MS from BITS – Pilani and Ph.D. from Symbiosis International University, Pune. He is Adjunct faculty of BITS-Pilani for several years in industry collaborative education programs. He is an Academic Supervisor of the University of Warwick, UK for the industry collaborative post graduate programs in India. He is Author and Editorial team member for ‘Pearson Education Singapore’ for several engineering and management courses. He has authored a well-established book on Machine Drawing published by Pearson Education. He has also co-authored books on Engineering Graphics for Pune University, Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technical University for Pearson Education. He has also published a book on ‘Measurement of Quality of Engineering Education’. He has published several technical papers in the area of Quality Management applied to education and service industries, especially in Higher and Engineering Education. He is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer, Member of the Institution of Engineers, member of BOS of Institution of Engineers, India. He has been delivering responsibilities successfully in various departments of higher education activities. He is an Associate Editor of the International Journal in Higher Engineering Education JEET, SCOPUS indexed and UGC Care listed. He is associated with Pune Management Association (PMA). With such vast experience and knowledge, needless to say that he is a highly qualified counselor and guide to students. He believes that guiding one student is equal to making the lives of his/ her entire family better.
