What are the roles and responsibilities for Indian Navy Officer?

The Navy is a well-balanced and cohesive three-dimensional force, capable of operating above, on and under the surface of the oceans.

It plays four most important role in safeguarding our country:

  1. Military role: It is characterized by the threat or use of force at and from the sea.
  2. Strategic role: Shape the maritime environment in the furtherance of national interests.
  3. Constabulary role: Forces are employed to enforce the law of the land or to implement a regime established by an international mandate.
  4. Benign role: Benign tasks include humanitarian aid, disaster relief, search and rescue. 
  • They efficiently safeguard our national interests.
  • The Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) exercises operational and administrative control of the Navy from the Integrated Headquarters of Ministry of Defence (Navy).
  • He is assisted by the Vice Chief of the Naval Staff (VCNS) and three other Principal Staff Officers, namely the Deputy Chief of the Naval Staff (DCNS), the Chief of Personnel (COP) and the Chief of Material (COM).
  • The full range of operations in which a nation's naval forces may be involved is vast.

Student can do 12 (Maths & Physics). Then complete Clear NDA Exam.

Career Path 2

Student can do 12 (Maths & Physics). Then complete Graduation in any discipline. Further you can Proceed with CDS Exam.

Career Path 3

Student can do 12 ( Maths & Physics). Then complete Graduation in any discipline . Further you can Proceed with NCC Special Scheme Entry with "C" Certificate.
